Family

I have said it before and I will say it again. I love my family. Even when we get stressed or angry. But when I grow up some of my fondest memories will be these.

 Building the marble run with Geoffrey.
Playing family games.
Doing animal wrestling tournaments with Geoffrey.
Talking in the middle of the night with Brenna when neither of us can sleep.
Wrestling with Kebrom and Atsede
Shopping with Mom
Watching Husky basketball with Dad
Hiking as a family.
Waking up at midnight hungry, going into the kitchen to eat a bowl of cereal and find Dad already there.
Long drives to Washington when we have good music or podcasts.
And so many more. I have been blessed with a wonderful family. And honestly, I kind of feel sorry for those who are not a part of my family. But I guess everyone feels that way about there one family.

Why?

Why is the question for everything. Why do I have to go to bed, why do people have to get sick, why why why. The only question I ask anymore. Then I realize, I don't need to worry. God is in control. Sometimes I try to play Gods role. I try to do everything right and make everything turn out okay. But the truth is, I am just not that good at it! There is only one who can control the universe and I am not Him. I need to remember that. Just because my life seems out of control, I need to remember that nothing can happen in my life that God cant handle. He is in control. Not me. And I am so glad that I am not in control, because if I was, the world would be falling apart because I am not big enough or strong enough. Only God is.

When we fall, He is there. When we get caught and feel like we have no where to run, He will protect us.
Only one can handle it. And He does.

My favorites

My favorite season is probably fall/winter. All the best holidays are in winter, it's perfect weather in fall. And lets face it, who wants to sweat so badly they take a shower every morning and night. I will take a cool day any day. Plus, I love taking a hot shower when I'm cold.
I also loves all the leaves. Yesterday I went to Greenough Park with my Nana. I just love the scent of the leaves, the looks of the leaves, and the feel of the leaves. I just love fall. We saw some baby squirrels, a dead squirrel and several other fun stuff. It all happens in fall.

Dreams come true

Everyone has dreams. Dreams like getting married, having children, getting a dog and there are many more dreams that people have. No matter how many dreams you have, they will almost always come true. Unless your dream is to meet a unicorn. I doubt that that would be happening but who knows?
Our family had a dream. A dream of adopting 2 children from Ethiopia. At first, we wanted 2 little boys. But God had other plans. Within a year our dream came true. Last May my parents flew to Ethiopia and we are now a BIG family of 6 children.
My sister had a dream. To have her own dog. It took a while, but for almost 2 years now she has had her own dog, a Wheaten Terrier named Books.
Our friends have a dream. To adopt a little boy from Ethiopia, they already have tickets for there first flight.
 These people are living proof that dreams do come true. It may take a while, and it may not happen how you want it to, but they do come true.
Life will through some hard times at you. You may feel like your dream will never come true, but in Gods own time, it will.
I have a dream. That my Grandma will be healed. Maybe it wont happen on this side, but she will be healed. I just dream that it will be this side. 
Some dream will not come true. But many will.
